General Program Comments
The Eastern Connecticut Family Medicine Residency Program at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester Connecticut offers a community-based suburban training site with admissions to an award-winning hospital. As a member of Eastern Connecticut Health Network, the program offers a plethora of opportunity for clinical exposure. As an academic partner with CT Children's Medical Center, residents will have an outstanding experience in the care of children. As an unopposed program, residents will have complete access to the maternity ward, neonatal ICU, nursery, intensive care unit, inpatient and outpatient psychiatry, emergency department, and all areas of the hospital. A World Health Curriculum with opportunities for rotations abroad, an inpatient and outpatient OMM service and home visit program further add to the comprehensive training in osteopathic family medicine.
