Additional Application Information:

Due to the highly competitive nature of general surgery training, we will not be interviewing students who have failed COMLEX I & II. We encourage students interested in our program to complete a 2-4 wk elective at our facility prior to interview dates. We will interview select students who have not rotated with us. Out of state residents are encouraged to have a skype interview initially with the program director prior to a formal interview.

General Program Comments

Palisades Medical Center is the CORE hospital of the NJ-RMEC (New Jersey Regional Medical Education consortium). NJ-RMEC consists of 3 hospitals with almost 900 beds and a large clinic network caring for 90,000 per year. Our program was approved on March 22, 2012 and we are now inviting applicants at all PGY levels.
