General Program Comments
Largo Medical Center is one of the largest Osteopathic training institution in the Southern United States, and is the West Coast Academic Center for Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. It is a training site for approximately 60 medical students each month and serves as a core training site for both Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine. The mission of the Dermatology Residency Program at Largo Medical Center is to expose residents to all aspects of dermatology and train residents to develop the necessary knowledge, skills and values essential to providing high quality dermatologic patient care. The Program Director, Richard Miller, DO, and the faculty offer an organized, diverse, progressive, academic and clinically-oriented program designed to prepare the resident for the practice of dermatology. Successful completion of the residency program qualifies the residents to sit for the American Osteopathic Board of Dermatology examination.
