General Comments
Montgomery Regional Hospital is located on Route 460 on the southern edge of Blacksburg, Virginia. Montgomery Regional Hospital is a fully-accredited, 146-bed general, acute-care hospital. Montgomery Regional Hospital is proud to be designated as a Magnet facility. Our facilities include a 24-hour Emergency Department with Level III Trauma Center, Intensive Care/Coronary Care Unit, Progressive Care Unit, family-centered Birthing Center and on-site internationally certified lactation consultants, Diagnostic Imaging Department with in-house, hospital-based MRI, inpatient and outpatient laboratory services, state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Lab with all digital cardiovascular and interventional imaging system, The Southwest Virginia Center for Orthopaedics, surgical services including laser and microlaparoscopic technologies, the Montgomery Regional Heartburn Treatment Center, physical speech and occupational rehab services, a health education center providing health screenings and community education programming, and H2U, a health and social benefit program. In July 2007, MRH opened The Imaging Center at Montgomery Regional Hospital providing high quality outpatient imaging services including a 64-slice CT, large bore MRI, mammography, and other imaging services in a comfortable, customer friendly environment.
