General Comments
MSU/Sparrow Health System offers many excellent training opportunities with the benefits of a big ten university in a progressive midwestern city. We have AOA, ACGME, and dually (AOA/ACGME) accredited residency training programs. Sparrow Health System has won a number of awards and has been ranked one of the top 100 hospitals in the United States overall, and in the areas of Cardiovascular Surgery and Orthopedic Surgery during the years of 1999, 2000, and 2001. It has also been listed as one of the top 50 hospitals in the United States for Geriatrics Care during the year of 2000. It has a level one trauma center and is a mid-Michigan referral site for high risk pediatric and adult patient care.
