General Program Comments
Advocate BroMenn Medical Center has established residency programs in neurological surgery, neurology, and family medicine. A 221-bed facility, Advocate BroMenn is located in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois -- two hours south of Chicago, two hours north of St. Louis and three hours west of Indianapolis. The hospital is nestled between Illinois State University and Illinois Wesleyan University, in a community with a population of over 120,000. Advocate Eureka Hospital, a 25-bed hospital located just 25 miles from Bloomington-Normal in Eureka, Illinois, is also part of the Advocate Health Care system. Between them, both hospitals serve patients from an eight-county region. Bloomington-Normal is a great place to train, live and practice your philosophy of treating the whole person. Not only will you love your work, but you'll love where you work. The welcome you'll receive from Bloomington-Normal extends into the programs themselves. The size of our programs give participants greater personal attention, more time with the teaching physicians and increased hands-on experience.
