General Comments
In January 2003, the Executive Committee of the Council on Postdoctoral Training along with the American College of Osteopathic Pediatricians approved the new affiliation with Childrens Hospital of Michigan. Childrens Hospital of Michigan is a 260 bed hospital with over 14,500 admissions, 128,800 ambulatory visits and 70,000 emergency visits a year, making it one of the most active children's hospitals in the United States. Program provides pda's to interns for electronic logging, evaluations, and patient care software. Program pays for Board exam in internship year. Henry Ford Macomb Hospital-Warren Campus and Childrens Hospital of MI is a dually accredited program. Upon successful completion candidates will be Board eligible for both allopathic and osteopathic Board certifications.
