The experience for residents in this program is extraordinary, and includes rotations in cardiology, ENT, ICU, orthopedics and others. Also, an extensive set of out-of-house rotations are required including forensic medicine, toxicology, trauma and pediatric intensive care. Program didactics include a weekly conference, morbidity/mortality review, case presentations and journal club. Also, a second set of weekly conferences are directed toward the upper level residents, as well as impromptu lectures during shift work.
